Standard Service
This service is designed for films that require encoding, encryption and distribution to cinemas.
We accept DCMs (Digital Cinema Masters) in any format, including HDCAM SR, QuickTime, log DPX files from DI facilities or finished DCDMs (Digital Cinema Distribution Masters).Before encoding we invite clients to view a 2-minute "clip test" where we test a few shots from the film for correct colour space conversion and sound reproduction. All Quality Control (QC) viewings are provided on-site.
Once the clip test is approved we produce the finished DCP. The client returns for a final QC. Once approved, the DCP is ready to be duplicated. We have in-house industrial strength duplication facilities that rapidly clone and verify hard drives. We have the capacity to duplicate up to 300 drives a day.
Drives can be hired from ExpressDCP for as long as they are required. We look after all delivery and return logistics. And our service is backed up by 24-hour KDM support for cinemas.
We are currently able to deliver films via FTP or CRU disk drive. We are developing a new satellite delivery service for cinemas. If you'd like to be kept up to date with progress on this new option, please email us.
